Marine & Industrial Engines

Customers continue to decide on the EMD 710 in responsiveness, and durability, power, which is unmatched in the industry because of its advantages.

By adapting to new needs and requirements, our engine’s design has stood the test of time. We continue to build with a commitment to reliability, durability, performance and maintainability.

Fixed Pitch:Our two-cycle motor provides a huge margin of available power over the demand curve to offer superior acceleration and responsiveness. In the pitch propeller software, by comparison, the power of a typical engine and the propeller demand curve narrowly meet.

Responsiveness

Our two-cycle 710 motor is the most responsive on the planet. With generator sets, testing demonstrates our 5,000 horsepower 20-cylinder motor is able regain speed and to accept load. Testing in applications has shown acceleration. By shooting each cylinder once a revolution and profiting from plentiful combustion air through our exceptional clutched turbo-changer layout, the 710 engine is unique in its ability to easily accept load in any engine speed and at a speed no other medium speed engine in the world can match.

Controllable Pitch

The extra power capacity of our two-cycle engine lets it take just about any pitch at any speed, without overload. Engine power that is available is limited by engine manufacturers significantly below the continuous rating of their engine to be able to protect against engine overload.

Pump Applications

Our two-cycle engine is much more responsive and effective with a lower price single equipment driveline. There is A four-cycle engine limited to operate compromising fuel and productivity consumption, requiring another gear.

Emission

The EMD E 23 B 710 Series engines has attained US EPA Tier 4 Final Certification and we’re applying for IMO III certification. The Tier 4 E 23 B is the only solution please click below for a detailed explanation of the industry. Our bullet Proof US EPA Tier 3 engines are available for boat repowers. IMO II motors are available and still produced. While preserving our efficiency and life cycle cost benefits our motor continues to respond to emissions challenges.
